The different roles

The visible part of our technology is our Tibber app, but the magic happens behind the scenes. Our platform is built as a series of microservices hosted in AWS, and we're using technologies like lambda functions, events, and queues for communicating between services, .Net Core, Node JS., PostgreSQL, Python, and other cool stuff. We're using leading, but sometimes also bleeding-edge technologies (no pain, no gain). Mostly we develop new things but we do refactor stuff, simply because we want higher speed and fewer code-legacy problems.

What you will do, will depend on your personality, area of interest, and expertise. Are you curious and like to explore new technologies, then you should perhaps work with IoT and the integrations of electric cars and smart homes. Are you more into structure and precision, maybe finance and billing is your thing, or maybe you like to work with the more general integrations in our platform with a focus on our customers? If you're into real complex development, then our team for Home Energy Management/Trading could be the right fit for you! Regardless of what team you will be in, we can promise highly skilled colleagues.

In order to thrive with us, we believe you have a few years of experience with backend development and that you love what you do! Of course, we consider it a big plus if you have experience with languages and frameworks that we use, such as Node.JS, Python, and C#, but if you come from a different background and are curious and willing to work with these technologies, then that's fine too! You like to adapt the language or framework depending on what the situation requires. It wouldn't hurt if you're familiar with cloud services, preferably AWS and Docker. You're not afraid of speaking your mind and you enjoy discussions where you can contribute with new and fresh ideas on how to optimize our product. You enjoy really complex tasks and you are used to efficiently handling large volumes of data. We consider it meritorious if you're already familiar with our product and have startup-experience.
